| Agios Georgios |
Located 22 km away from Volos, at an altitude of 620m, you will find one of the most beautiful villages of Pelion, Agios Georgios. The village is built on both sides of the old cobbled pathway, which is today an asphalt road. The area has a lot to commend it, including the splendid view across the Pagasitikos Gulf and the nearby mountains, the rich natural environment and many interesting sights. A network of well-preserved pathways and roads provides access to the whole village and the surrounding forest (beech trees, plane trees, etc.) under the "Schitzouravli" peak.

Things to do
Agios Georgios offers a variety of opportunities for alternative tourist activities. There is good news for trekking fans: Agios Georgios is the starting point for four well-signed paths. There are routes to Agriolefkes, Tsagkarada, Kato Gatzea and Ano Lechonia. The first two paths go through the beech tree forests, which are part of the NATURA 2000 network (code no GR1430001). The area is also ideal for horse riding, gentle walking along the traditional pathways beside the running fresh water, and swimming - the beaches of Kato Gatzea and Sykia are just a few minutes away by car.
Don't miss the local cuisine, the home-made wine and tsipouro.
