The Folk Museum of Milies is located in the City Hall building and hosts a collection of folk art. It is the work of Ms Helen Fay-Stamati, who has collected material related to the traditional jobs, customs, occupations and craftwork, as well as the traditional costumes of Pelion. The wood carver, the lamp maker, the blacksmith, the farrier, the manufacturer of cobbled streets, are just some of the occupations which were performed until a few years ago, and some of them still exist even today. The herbs, the hand-woven fabrics and embroidery, the making of traditional sweets, the kneading of bread, and many other traditional female occupations, are all brought to life through this very interesting collection of folk art. The museum has published an album titled "Milies, village of Mount Pelion", which is also the work of Mrs Stamati, which details a variety of folklore elements connected with traditional occupations and a full description of the folklore marriage of Pelion.
